Learning Objectives

  • respond to literature (dialectical journal).


Homework:

  • Dialectical Journal Check
    • At least 5 entries, properly formatted.
    • 3 part response (100 words each).
  • The teacher is checking all today's work tomorrow.

Reading Section: Vocabulary Quiz Chapters 13 and 14
(Jesperson's class will do another vocab packet)

  • Give students a copy of the quiz.

Reading Section: Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, sc. 2
  • Read along with the CD
  • Explain/interpret.
  • Watch the film version of the scene.

Writing Section: Romeo and Juliet Dialectical Journal
  • Act 2, sc. 2 has many important lines.
  • Give students time to work on their dialectical journals.
    • Remind students of the assignment requirements.
    • All students must work on this or they will get a call home.

Grammar Section: Agreement (Subject/Verb now and Pronoun/Andecedent later in the day)
